So, now the
"lead-from-behind-Commander-in-Chief" is having to ISIS in Iraq to
"protect American interests. Do we
think he'd have to do this, if we'd actually won the war in the first place,
but we all saw this coming in 2008 when Obama made his intentions known, that
he'd be pulling out, even though we knew of ISIS in 2012 and did
nothing. Oh wait, Obama told Jim Acosta
of Censored Never News CNN that having Residual Forces in Iraq, "wasn't a decision made by me."
Further proof this man is on perpetual vacation, even when he's in DC.
JIM ACOSTA, CNN: Just real quickly, do you wish you had left a residual force in Iraq? Any regrets about that decision in 2011?
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Keep in mind, that wasn't a decision made by me. That was a decision made by the Iraqi government. We offered a modest residual force to help continue to train and advise Iraqi security forces. We had a core requirement which we require in any situation where we have U.S. troops overseas, and that is that they are provided immunity, since they are being invited by the sovereign government there so that if, for example, they end up acting in self-defense, if they are attacked and find themselves in a tough situation, that they're not somehow called before a foreign court. "The situation in Iraq has been improved, Al Qaeda has been dealt a serious blow..." "let there be no doubt, Iraq is not yet secure" and yet he didn't fight to "win a war" but to lose a war and a country to ISIS, because he continues to make his decisions with the mindset, "what will the political ramifications be, if I make this decision" not, "will this make our Country safer." He's the only President that goes into a war room with Political Advisers not Military Advisers.
"on my first full day of office...our strategic actions must be political not military." "The Core decisions for Iraq's future must now be made by Iraqis." "We will end the war in Iraq." [Minute 7:57]
"Here's what we will not do...we cannot rid Iraq of every single individuals who opposes America or sympathizes with our adversaries. " [8:56] "We cannot police Iraq's streets indefinitely until they are completely safe, and put a strain on our military and cost the American people nearly a trillion dollars." [9:04] "As a candidate for President, I made clear my support for a timeline for 16 months for removal of troops." [9:46] "I have chosen, in 18th months, by August 3, 2010 our combat mission will end" [10:27] "leaving 35-50,000 troops behind, with plans to remove all troops by 2011." [12:26]
What Obama doesn't give enough weight to are people like me who won't just let him "speak the words" and allow him try to rewrite his own history, especially when his own words can be spooned over cold crow like lumpy gravy, and served back to him on a rusty platter. Markedly, when it was Obama's idea to run on the promise of "I will end the war in Iraq" in 2008 and then in 2009 followed that song-and-dance with "I will responsibly end the War in Iraq and pull out our troops." Congratulations Liberals, you despised, ridiculed and wanted Bush brought up on "war crimes" charges for his "warmongering" ways, and you went and re-elected someone far worse.
