According to Politico, Hillary Clinton's protectors are geared up for a fierce defense of the former first lady and secretary of state. No matter what damaging evidence is revealed during the Benghazi Hearings, which began this morning and are led by Rep. Congressman Trey Gowdy (SC), those who promote this tragic event as a hoax will be ready to fire back.

The issue of Benghazi has lingered for Clinton since early 2013, when she testified at the first round of congressional hearings. Pressed on why administration officials initially said the attacks that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans sprang from a protest — an explanation they later retracted — Clinton said, “What difference at this point does it make?”

Trey Gowdy, a former prosecutor to lead the proceedings and he has likened this investigation to a trial, calling President Obama and his administration “the defense.” Republicans are raising money for their campaigns based on this phony scandal, and they intend to keep it going for as long as possible.

This website was created to shed light on House Republicans’ efforts to use a terrorist attack against the United States for political gain and to distract the American people from the real issues facing the country, including raising the minimum wage so working families can get ahead, making college more affordable, and stopping billionaires from using their fortunes to drive extreme, self-serving agendas.
