Incredible! American Soldier Plays Star Spangled Banner on Electric Guitar, During Muslim "Prayer Time."

I have friends who are Rangers in Afghanistan and there are so few things that they get to "blow off steam" to maintain their sanity.  So, whenever they get the opportunity to relax a little and unwind, they grab it.  

We can imagine that that's exactly what this patriotic American soldier was thinking, and his spirit was probably laughing at the timing of his opportune moment, as he picked up his electric guitar and started playing the Star Spangled Banner, during Muslim "Prayer Time."

There has been a lot of grim news coming out of Afghanistan lately, as the United States prepares to pull out the rest of its troops at the end of the year.

A high-ranking commander, Major General Harold Greene, was murdered during an insider attack earlier this year. 

He is the highest ranking officer to be killed in a combat zone since the Vietnam War.  Shockingly, President Obama chose to go golfing instead of paying this man the honor he was due at his funeral.

Meanwhile, thousands of mid-level officers and NCOs are getting “pink slips“, informing them that they are being let go, while they are still on the battlefield.

At the same time, it has been revealed that approximately a quarter of the Afghan security forces are actually Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters that have infiltrated the army and police that the US is arming and training.

In the midst of all of this comes a brief moment that is sure to bring a proud smile to most patriotic Americans.  A video has been circulating recently on Facebook of a US soldier in Afghanistan doing his own rendition of the National Anthem on an electric guitar during a flag raising.  This allegedly took place at the same time as the Muslim call to prayer.
