We're finding out from Judicial Watch why Lois Lerner felt the need to plead the 5th. You see, the 5th Amendment is for witnesses of a crime, or the accomplice of said crime, and they understand that they have information pertaining to the crime that that they either committed or helped to perpetrate and by divulging said information will "incriminate" themselves. Now we're learning that the IRS had a "Secret Research Project," by Top IRS Officials.
"Look the other way, this is not the scandal you're looking for."
"It's just a bunch of bone-headed decisions"
And yet, Nixon was publicly persecuted and resigned
for far less, Mr. president.
But wait, "smidgen of corruption" is not what you said when the
IRS scandal first occurred and you learned about the IRS from Fox News,
"like the rest of us," right?
"If
in fact IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that have been reported
on and were intentionally targeting conservative groups, then that's
outrageous. And there's no place for it,"
"And
they have to be held fully accountable.
Because the IRS as an independent agency requires absolute integrity, and
people have to have confidence that they're ... applying the laws in a
nonpartisan way."
"I
have no patience for it, I have no tolerance for it..."
But you also said the same thing about Benghazi,
and we're still waiting to see your "outrage" and
"accountability" play out, aren't we, paper tiger?
