One Gun to Make EVERY Gun Illegal - Get Ready, Here they Come

Remember when Obama said he believed in the Second Amendment and wouldn't take any of our guns away, he just didn't have a "strategy to do it yet," but even a half truth is still a lie. What if he told you,  tomorrow, "I'll let you buy a Four Thousand Dollar "Smart Gun," but that's the ONLY gun that will be legal in my Obamanation.  The smart gun isn't a new concept by any means, it's a concept that's been kicked around since the 1990s, when the problem when perps where taking away police officer's guns and using it against them.  The technology was introduced last year but is only being embraced by Holder and Obama now as a means to an end, the end of our Second Amendment rights.

“We’re starting to see electronics embedded into guns. The smart gun controversy is out there, where a gun can actually recognize a user and then not work for someone who’s not authorized through that gun to use it,” Miniter said. “The anti-gun movement wants to make that mandatory. By making it mandatory, it would make every gun available now illegal.”

He added, “Attorney General Eric Holder had a conversation with one of the makers of one of the smart guns, Bill Gentry of Kodiak Arms. Holder was going on about possibly using the government to authorize it and have that sort of control. Bill Gentry said, ‘Wait a minute, Mr. Holder. If you try to mandate my technology, I will burn it down.’

“This is the level that this is separating between gun owners and those who understand this topic and some on the government side who see this as an effort to control it.” Read more at WND

Before you jump on the liberal bandwagon and think, "wow, what a great idea" what could possibly go wrong? A gun that only knows "it's master"?  Use your brain? You're right, guns kill people and it's a human, living, breathing, eating thing.  This "smart gun" get's its "smarts" from batteries.  Does your battery-run smoke detector function when the batteries die, how about your "smart phone"? Yeah, are you seeing the "what could go wrong here" now?

What is the default mode for this gun when the battery fails? Does it default to a mode where the ­ firearm cannot function at a time when the owner needs to use it to save his or her life?  Will it suddenly default to a mode where it can ­fire, creating the potential for any irresponsible owner leaving a loaded  firearm accessible to an unauthorized user, such as a child, because the owner relied upon the technology that has failed?

In both of these scenarios, the manufacturer may well and itself a defendant in a product liability lawsuit, but you're right, "what could go wrong, it's a 'smart gun'" and "guns kill people, people don't kill people"
