No Stealing Cupcakes for Dinner

By Elizabeth Nelson
This kid is so cute, it's too bad that they have to grow up. "Linda, Linda Listen." This kid is trying to make his case for cupcakes - that he got caught trying to steal - for dinner. The problem is, he's arguing with his mother. "Linda, Linda, Linda."

This is why we parents shouldn't make a habit of negotiating with these little emotional terrorists. We set the rules, they abide by the rules, there is no negotiating the rules and the boundaries of the rules. We are their parents, not their friends.  There will be plenty of time to be their friends when they are older.

They have to understand that crossing the line will result in said consequences, because the police will not argue with them for 3 minutes about going to jail, because they broke the State's laws, and we can only hope and pray that they live through the stupidity of their youth, as we did.
