While Everyone is Worried About Ebola what about Enterovirus D68?

By Elizabeth Nelson

While we've been preoccupied by the Ebola, we've all missed that the non-polio Enterovirus D68 also known as NeoNatal Sepsis, something we haven't seen in the USA since the 60s, has walked its way back across the border and is infecting and potentially killing our kids, much like the Flu does when weakens and kills them every year, but worse.

Most people who get infected with non-polio Enteroviruses do not get sick. Or, they may have mild illness, like the common cold. But some people can get very sick and have infections, sepsis, of their heart or brain or even become paralyzed. Infants and people with weakened immune systems or asthma have a greater chance of having these complications.

You can get infected with non-polio Enteroviruses by having close contact with an infected person. You can also get infected by touching objects or surfaces that have the virus on them then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.
Our LameStream Media has been silent about the Children who are becoming paralyzed and  dying, because - oh wait - Amnesty and the Senate are suddenly on the line.

10-year-old Rhode Island child, hospitalized with Enteroviros D68 died of the bacterial infection, that walked its way across the border, last week and the press was silent.  No Ebola fan fare, no mention of her passing. Yet, this is the crisis that continues, because of our insecure borders, and inept White House Administration.  Not only did she die, but 4 other children have also been found dead with Enterovirus D68 and there is a "partial paralysis" symptom, like polio, that has been found within this virus.

Samples collected from four patients who recently died have tested positive for enterovirus D68, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
As of Wednesday, the CDC had confirmed 500 people in 42 states have respiratory illnesses caused by enterovirus D68.

Much like when children and the elderly die from the flu every year, Enterovirus was the nasty sepsis bacterial infection that started these children on the slippery slope downward.  However, had the Enterovirus, that had been defeated since the 60s not walked itself back across the border, and been introduced to these children, these kids would still be alive to boost their immune system and fight another day.

Not that I don't trust this Administration and it's CDC team, but if it's so "hard to catch" Ebola and it can only be caught "by direct bodily fluid contact," such as "by blood, urine, diarrhea, and vomit," how is it that people dressed like this:

keep contracting Ebola?  Newsflash, you don't wear "airborne virus contamination suits," covering everything including your eyes, nose, mouth, hands, hair and feet, unless you're worried about an "airborne virus contaminant".

So, which do we fight first, the TB and Paralyzing Bacterial Sepsis infection that is invading our Country by land or the Ebola virus that is coming over by air?

Either way, all we are hearing about this in the Lame Stream media are crickets, but you can bet if this was a Republican President, we'd want action and answers.  You know why Obama is dodging the Ebola and Enterovirus question, it has nothing to do with Amnesty (yeah ok, I'm not buying it's political either) it really has to do with Obamacare ... neither are covered under his Healthcare plan.
