Position Crumbles Under Pressure: Secretary of Defense Hagel Submits Resignation

Can anyone really say they didn't see this one coming, seriously?  Much like Hillary, Rice and the rest of Obama's Administration, what benefit is Hagel to this Country - other than Comedic? I mean, remember all the "great" foreign advice he's given Obama over the years? 

Like when he accused "Israel of violating U.N. resolutions, called for U.S.-designated terrorist organization Hamas to be included in any peace negotiations, and described our ally Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a 'radical?'”

Oh he didn't stop there, this brain trust purported 2007 remark calling the "State Department an 'adjunct' of Israel" and said "that Israel has violated every UN resolution since 1967, that Israel has violated its agreements with the quartet, that it was risking becoming an apartheid state if it didn’t allow the Palestinians to form a state."

So now he's leaving, under pressure and I say good riddance to bad rubbish. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel handed in his resignation on Monday, the first cabinet-level casualty of the collapse of President Obama’s Democratic majority in the Senate and the struggles of his national security team to respond to an onslaught of global crises.

In announcing Mr. Hagel’s resignation from the State Dining Room on Monday, the president, flanked by Mr. Hagel and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., called Mr. Hagel critical to ushering the military “through a significant period of transition” and lauded “a young Army sergeant from Vietnam who rose to serve as America’s 24th secretary of defense.”

Mr. Obama called Mr. Hagel “no ordinary secretary of defense,” adding that he had “been in the dirt” of combat like no other defense chief. He said that Mr. Hagel would remain in the job until his successor is confirmed by the Senate. Read more WashingtonPost

I'll also remind you, this is the "no ordinary idiot that defended the decision to swap dangerous prisoners for self-proclaimed deserter, Bergdahl and celebrated his release with a victory lap. He's also the same idiot that proposed a "troop reduction, knowing the risks" to our country. 

Oh wait, he called his plan, "prioritize U.S. strategic interests in the face of reduced resources"  When in reality, he's reducing the size of our military in every force to the size we haven't seen since before WWII and eliminating an entire fleet of Air Force fighter planes. Read more Defense.gov Since then, our population has grown three fold, but who's counting, lemmings.  

So, forgive me if I don't cry or choose to throw a going-away party at the trumpeting of Hagel's departure, but rather become more suspicious at the timing.  I'll be watching for the ramming of a more liberal and dangerous SoD, if that person even exists.  

I'm sure Obama could dig up an ISIS member that wants the job, he did find Muslim Brotherhood for key cabinet positions within the White House Administration, right?
