Ben Carson, "ISIS Terrorists like our Founding Fathers"

By Elizabeth Nelson

I would be a hypocrite if I didn't call out Ben Carson for his gaffes, as I do Biden when he gaffes, and this is typical Ben gaffing Carson.  Yet, this is who some would want to put on the world stage as U.S. President? NO thank you!

I've seen Common Core calling our Founding Fathers terrorists, but now Dr. Carson is comparing our Founding Fathers to ISIS terrorists.  Yes, those men that are raping, murdering and beheading their way across the middle east and threatening to come here and do the same, all in the name of Islam.

So, if we patriots stand for our freedom, our Bible, smaller government and our right to bear arms, one day you and I will be recorded in history as terrorists too, if what this man says is accepted as "logical and right."  Not to mention, if he's accepted and voted in as President, and you live in a large city as I do, he also doesn't feel we have the right to own "semi-automatic guns" either.

Glenn Beck: "Semi-Automatic Weapons"

Dr. Ben Carson: "It depends on where you live, I'm afraid...I'd rather you not have it."

Oh, and Carson's gaffes don't stop here. This isn't the first time Carson has made a comparison, remember he compared our US government to Nazi Germany and when he had the chance to take it back absolutely would not. This is also the same man that said that VA Scandal Deaths "were a gift from God," although I'm sure their children and spouses didn't think so and nor do I.

He's proven that he has the propensity to be racially divisive when he exposed his racial divisive bone, the one Obama loves to flex, when he called white liberals racist, “they’re the most racist people there are, because they put you in a little category, a box. You have to think this way. How could you dare come off the plantation?”

This practice drives me nucking futs, as a Conservative, because I feel it is utterly wrong to paint any person, group, or sex with such a broad brush. No one person - black, white, brown or green - is the same as any other, so we shouldn't be labeled or branded as such. I don't care if we're liberal, conservative or independent, it's just not right.

I like Carson's career as a Dr & neurosurgeon, but he's nothing more than another opinionated motivational speaker that doesn't like guns and would be an inexperienced, learn-as-we-go president, if elected.  We see how that's worked with Obama, do we really need to be lead and vote by emotion?

It's time to start voting with our brain not with our heart. Judge a man by his character, not his skin or political party, and these are all huge character flaws in Carson, especially when they say one thing and do another. "When someone shows you who they are, believe them."

  1. I like Ben Carson as a person, but some of his political ideas, Common Core and the 2nd Amendment, leave me rapidly retreating from any support for him. We have already seen what happens with one unqualified individual rising to the presidency. As much as I decry politicians in general, I do not want to see someone learn the job of the presidency from one day to the next. We need a successful executive with proven and demonstrated leadership and management skills. Dr. Carson does not fit that metric for me. I can see Dr. Carson as the Surgeon General of the United States, but that's about it.

  2. I'm with you, he'd make a GREAT Surgeon General, but a LOUSY "Learn-as-you-go" President, we see how that worked with Obama.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. One has to wonder, was Obama a total ass and THIS divisive BEFORE he was elected, or just after and the power went to his head and gave him the platform to use it to destroy our country.

Not saying Carson would intentionally destroy our Country, any more than Carter intentionally meant to destroy us, but Carson has displayed that he does have a divisive bone, in his "white liberal" comment. He also displays an innate ability to gaffe, much like Biden, but no one wants to call him out on it as much as they do Biden. Oh, that would be racist, right?
