Captain & Tennille meets Queen - Love Will Keep Us Together? No Another One Bites the Dust

By Elizabeth N

I have to laugh at this iconic song and how many times it has played in weddings all over our country.

Toni Tennille, 73, filed for divorce from Daryl Dragon, 71, in Prescott, Ariz. on Jan. 16. The Grammy Award-winning duo was known for a string of catchy (and sometimes-annoying) 1970s hits like “Love Will Keep Us Together,” “Muskrat Love” and “Do That to Me One More Time” and even hosted their own television variety show for a season. The split was confirmed on the couple’s Web site with the explanation: “…almost all people naturally evolve over time, & sometimes hidden feelings start to be uncovered.” Read more WashingtonPost

Truth be told, when Toni Tennille took the vow "in sickness and in health," she didn't realize exactly what that would mean, because it seems that Daryl Dragon (Captain) has a neurological disorder similar to that of Parkison's, characterized by such extreme tremors that he can no longer play the keyboards.  So, for "love, money, or health," she's "throwing the captain overboard" and love WON'T keep them together after all.  Maybe they should cover, "Another One Bites the Dust" at their divorce party.
