Was an Ohio 911 Caller a Bigot or Was He Simply Brainwashed?

by Kim D.

Remember when Eric Holder boldly claimed that children and adults need to be brainwashed to think about guns in a certain way? That sentiment was expressed by Holder in 1995, and it appears this mission many have been achieved.

Last month Ronald Ritchie made an emergency 911 call claiming that a guy was in an Ohio Wal Mart pointing a gun at women and children in a threatening manner. As reported by Bearing Arms,

Ronald Ritchie said the man “was just waving it at children and people. Items…. I couldn’t hear anything that he was saying. I’m thinking that he is either going to rob the place or he’s there to shoot somebody else.” The man looked kind of serious, Ronald Ritchie said. “He didn’t really want to be looked at and when people did look at him, he was pointing the gun at them. He was pointing at people. Children walking by.”
The result of this emergency call was devastating on many levels. The police arrived and shot a young, black man dead, and in the midst of the chaos, the woman who supposedly had been threatened had a heart attack and died, tragically altering her children's lives forever.

Groups like Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America have been very silent on this incident. But shouldn't they be somewhat proud that a vigilant citizen stopped a bad guy with a gun in a store?

New facts have emerged that prove how dangerous it is to make assumptions about someone holding a gun in a store that sells them. According to The Guardian, the shooting victim, John Crawford, a young, black man, had picked up an unloaded BB rifle in the store and was talking on his cell phone. Video evidence shows Crawford talking on the phone and holding the rifle in a downward position. At no point does he wave the gun at women and children like Ritchie claimed in the 911 call.

The tragedy is disturbing on many levels. Is Ritchie simply a gun phobic bigot or has he been brainwashed into seeing guns a certain way?
