Hard to believe it took Weiner something like two years to realize the obvious. His political career was toast a long time ago and rightly so after being exposed as a closet sexting deviate. But Weiner continued on, by all reports, for some time after the episode that drove him out of the last New York mayoral race."I mean, realistically, my political career is probably over. The only job I ever wanted more than Congress was mayor, and I don’t think that either of those two jobs are going to be available. So, no, it’s not like, ‘OK, how do I get back in?’ I’m not thinking that anymore. I think I kind of took my stab at that."
Have no fear readers. No one will be holding a benefit for Anthony Weiner any time soon, even if he were to need it. Who could or would attend a benefit for that schmuck? Meanwhile ....
Weiner has been writing columns for Business Insider and others, appearing as a political pundit on TV, and is in the process of setting up a non-profit restaurantin a part of Queens hit hard by Superstorm Sandy.
