I'm shocked, shocked I tell you. Okay, I'm not shocked in the least. That was hyperbole.
This begs the question of how an aging white (non-Hispanic) male would know what it means to have the heart of an Hispanic? Okay, enough of the nonsense from Gary King. He's absolutely desperate (see latest polling numbers below) in his campaign against Gov Susana Martinez and simply went to the liberal progressive well of hate to dredge up a race baiting comment to energize a fundraising audience.
That's what's called throwing out the red meat for the loyal liberal sycophants in order to bring in their campaign bucks. It doesn't say much for King's ethics, but I'm certain that ethics never entered King's decision to smear Governor Martinez.
King, who is down 50-41% in the latest poll, was apparently trying to make the point that Martinez (a Spanish speaking Hispanic) is a "coconut," brown on the outside, white on the inside. Attacking the identity of minorities the left and media see as race traitors (ie., not Democrats) is all-too common and accepted in our society. Read more Breitbart
What's really interesting about Susana Martinez is that she was a Democrat at one point in time, until she saw the light (her own description of her change to the Republican Party).
