Nicholas Cage Talks About Inspiration Behind Taking Left Behind Role

By Elizabeth Nelson

Have you noticed lately, there have been a number of Christian themed movies hitting the silver screen? People are searching for hope in our dark days, so we're watching people fill theaters to watch titles like the smash-hit "God is not Dead," "Son of God," a faith-based inspirational sports movie, "When the Game Stands Tall," and "Heaven is Real."

Now we're about to witness what I'm sure will be, if it's anything like the books, an intense movie next month, "Left Behind," which is based on the bestselling novel - starring many stars we will all recognize.
Stars like Nicholas Cage, Lea Thompson, Cassi Thomson and Jordin Sparks who are just a few of the bigger names in the movie. However, in a liberal controlled Hollywood, what would posses them to venture out in a such taboo project?  This is about Jesus and the Rapture, after all.  This is about Heaven and Hell.

Come to find out Cage's brother is a Pastor and introduced him to the book.  Isn't this typical and the Christian way? We plant the seeds and water them, waiting for God to give the increase, waiting for such a time as this, when Cage with testify before the world in this movie, because the Rapture is coming, and it could happen any day.

Could it be that our Country is tired of Obama's "Hopeless Change" and they are yearning  for real Hope and the Hope and Change that can only come from one place, the one and true Living God?

Now, maybe you've heard about the 144,000 elect, left after the rapture that would endure to the end, maybe your grandma or momma has been praying for you.  Perhaps  you're a gambler or a procrastinator and like to push things to the last minute, including your eternal salvation, and now you want to know; will the people, who heard the truth, denied the invitation of Christ and were left behind, will they get a yet another chance to accept Christ and go to Heaven and be reunited with their loved ones and Jesus Christ, or will they meet their doom and fate in Hell?

Why waste time looking for the 13th hour on the clock, when you know it only goes to 12? You'd better find out the answer, now, my friend.  The answer is found in 2 Thessalonians 13.  Listen to my Pastor, from North Jacksonville Baptist Church, Dr. Herb Reavis, explain it to you.  Listen to the Podcast Happy Hearts here.

I was skeptical about seeing this when I saw Hollywood was taking it on, I have read all the books, and so has everyone in my family. Thanks for posting this article I will now see the movie. I have the first 2 that were made earlier, but suspect with a big budget it will be even better. At least I hope it will be done well and not mess up the message.

  2. I was skeptical too, until I saw who produced it - the Duck Dynasty. So, I'll go in with my hopes high and pray that people will leave curious enough to seek out the answers to the itch they will be left with.
