Texas Home Invasion by Three Thugs Thwarted by Resident with a Gun.

This is one of those "feel good" stories from my perspective.  Make your own decision.
Harris County Texas, home to the greater metropolitan area of the City of Houston, saw an early morning home invasion turn deadly for one of three thugs that forced their way into the home of an extended family of eight.

Family members told deputies that their mother was in the kitchen cooking breakfast with three young granddaughters when the armed men broke in. The woman's adult son heard the commotion from his bedroom and grabbed his gun.

I don't want to be presumptuous, but the victims own a construction business, which might make them a more lucrative target than the average family.  Home invasions are seldom done by chance in that the home invaders would simply choose a home randomly.  Usually home invasions are based upon a casing of the family, the home, new cars visible or some other symbol of what could indicate wealth to be had by the home invaders.

Most home invasions are done at night for the element of surprise and they are often done by multiple individuals to gain immediate dominance of residents within the first minute of the break-in and confrontation with residents.

Apparently, the break-in, which was reported to have occurred at 4:30 am, actually caught the home invaders by surprise and off guard as the family's gun wielding son acted so swiftly.
