We should be used to our Emotional Terrorist leader pulling and tugging on our emotional strings, eliciting emotional responses, in an effort to get the response he desires.
President Obama is asking Congress to formally authorize war against Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants and says the group could threaten the U.S. homeland if left unchecked.
Look for him to come at us with, "This terrorist group is killing Americans and the threat has become extremely large [while I've been golfing] so we must now take the battle to them and decimate them before they bring this war to us and our homes and families. However, this will not be a long, drawn out battle that Bush inflicted on your, I will only ask three years of your life [so I will stay here while I kill your sons, husbands, brothers, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends]."
The White House confirmed to
CBS News that it had submitted the resolution to Congress Wednesday morning. It
was first obtained by the Associated Press. Mr. Obama would limit
authorization to three years, with no restriction where U.S. forces could
pursue the threat.
Now, remind me, how many years does Obama have left in office? Two, right? So how is it that he's requesting a THREE year authorization, that will actually take longer with a pull out transition? Just look at our "end of Iraq war." Oh wait, we still have men over there.
Obama's proposal bans
"enduring offensive combat operations," an ambiguous
term that attempts to define a middle ground between Democrats leery of another
protracted Middle Eastern conflict involving ground troops, and Republicans,
who largely believe the U.S. needs maximum flexibility to pursue ISIS.
Of course, I'm sure everyone will be watching - with baited breath - to our Liar-in-Chief, as he addresses the Nation, from Congress at 3:30 est, as he tells his lemmings that he desires to pull a Bush and Clinton and go to war with ISIS.
Please Conservatives, try to
resist those giggle fits, as those anti-war liberals start screaming at their
TVs, as we do on a regular basis. Here we are, going to war again... I'm sure
Liberals and Hollywierd will protest this war and "war criminal, like they
did his Libyan war, and Bush right? What a mess that's made there. They are about to realize that
their president isn't a demi-god, but just another fallible man after
all.
