Mexican Independence Trumps American Flag

By Elizabeth Nelson

I'm not sure many of you would remember earlier this year, when a Federal court ruled that a San Jose School had the right to tell a bunch of American kids that they had to turn their shirts, with the American flag, inside out or go home, during their Cinco de Mayo celebration.  You see, the school justified it by saying that there was a history of problematic racial gang members and they were afraid of a violent upheaval. Well yesterday a Federal Appeals Court refused to rehear the challenge to that case.

Okay, here's my major malfunction with this entire story. I understand life "isn't fair." However, if you're going to tilt the scales to one race or class, you're sending a wrong message entirely.  What message did they send here?

It's the racial gangs that are causing all the problems here, and are now being given all the power to dictate the dress code, but hey, "Go ahead and sport your Mexican Independence;" no wait, go back to Mexico if you want to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, which had nothing to do with any battle fought by America, in or about America, for Mexican Independence.

Yet somehow our American flag, the symbol of the Country the immigrants wave when they get all their "free stuff," that very same symbol that has suddenly become "offensive and dangerous" to them and in doing so, our freedom of speech is further gagged? Someone explain this to me, please. #SMH

Harry Reid Bends Over & Screws his fellow Democrats & Himself

This is just too good to pass up, although it appears to have gone unnoticed by the MSM.  Harry Reid managed to screw himself and Democrats in one less than swift political move.  This is what happens when a weasel tries to out think a raccoon or whatever you call those establishment Republicans these days.

Actually, Reid was simply trying to put Republicans in a bad light as obstructionists once again, but he got caught in his own trap  I am quite certain that when Republicans agreed to vote for Reid's Bill, he must have become apoplectic.  So what was the Bill that Republicans voted on to debate?

Now why would Reid object to this, since some very liberal Democrats have been kicking this topic around for month?  The answer is actually quite simple.  The Republicans somehow actually managed to do some strategic planning that didn't backfire for a change.

Please reread the above paragraph.  Reid never expected that Republicans would agree to vote to bring  such a ridiculous Bill to the Senate floor to debate,   Oops!

The simple explanation for Reid's apoplexy is that the Republicans can now take up valuable floor time on the Senate floor debating the Bill and this will substantially reduce Reid's opportunity to put forth other real legislation Democrats want to act on before the November 4th congressional midterm elections.

The move not only guarantees a lengthy debate over Democratic efforts to limit the First Amendment, but it also limits the amount of time left for debates over other doomed measures on gender pay equality and the minimum wage, which were intended to frame the coming elections for Democrats as they defend their Senate majority. GOP Gives Reid What he Wants, Challenges Freedom of Speech, Now He's Mad?

By Elizabeth Nelson

Senator Ted Cruz tried to warn all of us, earlier this year, that the Senate Democrats were trying to change the Constitution and restrict our freedom of speech, because spending is speech, but no one would listen to him, because he is Ted Cruz and he's a Republican.  Well guess what, the "obstructing GOP" has given the Senate what they wanted, to chance to, in their feeble minds, "restore responsible spending (because this won't change contributions) limits," and "overturn Citizens United."

You see, the Citizens United decision had nothing to do with "contributions" to the candidate, as Harry Reid went on attacking the "evil Koch Brothers," because the Supreme Court decision never changed "contributions," it only said the spending on ads was "unlimited," not how much one could contribute to the Candidate's campaign, for their expenses.
Isn't it strangely ironic how Unions gave to the Democrats and outspent the Koch brothers 15 times over, yet there's no outrage and there's not even a "smiden of evil" attached to their character or name?  And the Koch brothers have even given to the Democrats who "hate" them but love their money, yet this is all about them, and stopping their giving.

Like I said, Ted Cruz tried to warn everyone that this was coming and 41 Democrats signed on to this bill, but none of you wouldn't listen, even you, you mindless, cantankerous, tales-from-the-crypt old fart, but now this is the GOP's fault, because they gave you what you wanted?

After Monday's bipartisan 79-18 vote, Reid vented to reporters that Republicans were trying to "stall" the Senate, indicating that he never intended for the campaign finance amendment by Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., to go to a real floor debate. Read more Washington Examiner

Yes, now Harry Reid is ticked that the bill he supports will actually see the light of day on his Senate floor and will actually have to be voted on, because now it will go on record, for the entire world to see, exactly what he and his Senators believe about our  First Amendment right, because spending is speech.
However, we all know how this will eventually play out, it will be the Republican's fault for "not stopping it," even though "41 Democrats were signed on to the bill" in affirmation of it.  Oh, we all know that won't matter, that part will be rewritten history, just like Obamacare, where "not one Republican signed in the affirmative" yet somehow, that's our fault too.

When Freedom of Speech goes too Far

By Elizabeth Nelson

It's pretty bad when I applied for mine (a Godly plate) and my ex-husband's old license plates [HRTATTK], I had to justify and explain what the plates meant before they could be "approved." I can only image what this guys "excuse" was, before he added the flag and brigade to the mess. There is a point when Freedom of Speech goes too far, like in the case of this New Yorker. When you have the potential to insight a riot or get your car trashed on an hourly basis, I'd say you've taken your "freedom" beyond its limits.

You can't possibly tell me that this is a butcher and this stands for "Ham Master" when he has a Palestine flag and AL-Qassam [Brigades] under the license plate.  I'm sick and tired of hearing about hundreds of American citizens leaving our country, retaining their passports, and fighting  for ISIS.  If he's not going to stand with this Country, then he should leave it and fight with the Country he is obviously standing beside and see how long his black-hearted terrorist soul will last.

Are we really surprised that there are many here in the States that who are genuinely concerned that we are vulnerable to another 9/11-like attack, with such a lack of patriotism and an equal sense of National Security complacency within our Government?
